Cycle 300 Miles in June

I'm taking on the Cycle 300 Miles in June Challenge

Did you know that 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime?

I’m taking on the Cycle 300 Miles in June Challenge for PCR to change this and help make a difference to men and their families who have been affected by prostate cancer.

Please support me during this challenge by donating what you can to Prostate Cancer Research. Every donation you make helps advance our mission to create a world free from the impact of prostate cancer.

Thank you for your support! 💙🧡

Sunday 28th Jun
All done with two days to spare. That takes it all to the grand total of 302 miles with £243 raised so far - one £10 donation not yet showing for some reason. Thank you all once again for your kind support.

A warm 27 miles before work

Friday 26th Jun
Another 27 mile loop covered before work today. I tried to start and finish before the temperature rose too much but it was already 24°C at 6.30am. So far we've raised £210 with 258 miles now done. Thank you to everyone who had sponsored. Do consider giving if you haven't already. Thank you

Target raised to £250

Nearly 230 miles with a week to go

Monday 22nd Jun
A warm one tonight - 27 miles after work with one mile for every degree of heat. 75 miles over the last four rides and on track for the 300 by the 30th. I fell a little behind this weekend, having been a bit lazy and missed a ride ... so, it's catchup time this week.

Over half way

Sunday 14th Jun
153 miles complete and £137 raised.

A sneaky 12 miles on Thursday before work and another 47 miles today with a change of bike. I thought the road bike would make me go faster, but i discovered it's me who needs to make me go faster. The road bikes also give sore backsides too - like sitting on a brick for nearly 50 miles.

So a total of just under 153 miles (over half way) and £117 raised. Thank you to all who have sponsored. I really do appreciate it

Ride 4 - 22 miles (10th)

Thursday 11th Jun
94 miles in the bag so far

Time to do these rides can be challenging.  Knowing that I'm having to take time out from other things, and then knowing how beneficial this is to my health, makes it worthwhile.

Of course, the big win is knowing that every penny raised helps such a worthy cause. If you have donated,  thank you so much for making the difference to this awesome cause, as well as making my rides worthwhile.

If you haven't donated, thank you for reading this. Just helping people to think about prostate cancer and to help them be aware of it can make a critical difference.

2 more rides done

Sunday 7th Jun
So I have the first week done and 72 miles. I started with 16 miles on Monday the 1st, then was able to put more time in on Thursday the 4th with 23 miles, before finishing off today the 7th with another 33 miles. Lots of fun on the mountain bike but I'll hopefully get my road bike in action for next week.
It's great to just have something to aim for, to help give me that push to get out and about.  It makes you feel so good to be out in nature. I love it.
Thank you so much to everyone who has sponsored me so far.  We've together raised £83 for this very worthy cause. Thank you.

16 miles 1st ride

Tuesday 2nd Jun
A wet return to the bike after a long time. A slow start and a bit of a sore knee but generally ok so far.
