No it is completely free to take part, all we ask is for you to fundraise as much as you can. 

What do I get as part of Team PCR?

As part of our team you will receive:

How long does it take for my t-shirt to arrive?

Once you have registered and set up your fundraising page we will pop it in the post to you.  Please note it can take up to 14 working days to arrive. 

What happens after I sign up, what should I expect?

Upon registering you will be guided straight to your fundraising page for personalisation along with an email confirmation and link to your fundraising page.

Following this you should expect to receive regular communications from us about the event, our work at PCR and top tips to help keep you motivated throughout the challenge.

Is there a minimum age to take part?

Yes,children under 18 years of age are welcome to take part in the challenge, but must be registered by a parent or guardian and be accompanied by a responsible adult during their participation in the challenge. 

You must be over 18 to set up a fundraiser and join the Facebook Group. 

Can my friends or family join in?

Yes, of course.  Just share the registration link and ask them to register. 

I live outside of the UK - can I join?

Yes, you can join from anywhere. Unfortunately, we can't post out fundraising packs or t-shirts internationally, but you have call you need in the Resources tab.  

My t-shirt or fundraising pack hasn't arrived

T-shirts can take up to 10 - 14 working days to arrive after date of registration.  If your pack has still not arrived, please contact us. 

Can I take part as a team?

Yes, you can set up a team for you to all join. Your team will need a captain.  The captain needs to log in to their own fundraising page and click dashboard.  Then click the option to create a team and follow the instructions to set up the team and share the team link and ask people to register for the event. 

Fundraising

How do I set up an online fundraising page?

Your page will be set up automatically upon registration with PCR and you will also receive an email that confirms your fundraising page link.

Is there a fundraising target?

We simply ask everyon to raise as much as they can to support Prostate Cancer Research.  The target is automatically set to £150 on your fundraising page, as people with targets on their page raise the most.  While there's no commitment to reach this amount, we'd love for you to aim high.  Every pound you raise helps fund vital research.  

How do I change my fundraising target?

When logged in to your fundraising page, you can click on Edit my page and edit your fundraising target.

If you reach your target, we suggest upping the target on your page. This encourages people to keep donating to help you reach your target. 

What if I’m struggling to fundraise?

If you're struggling to fundraise, please get in touch with our fundraising team for some tips and advice on how you could reach your target.

Do I have to use online fundraising, or can I fundraise offline too?

Yes, you are more than welcome to fundraise offline and use the sponsorship form which can be found in the resources tab. To pay in your money simply pop the money into your own bank account and make a donation to your fundraising page. 

How can I send in sponsorship money I've collected offine?

Can I use the Prostate Cancer Research logo on posters, t-shirts etc?

If you would like to use our logo on materials to support your fundraising please contact our team first and we can provide you with our 'In support of' logo. 

Can my employer sponsor me or match my fundraising?

Yes, we would love to hear about how your employer is able to help. Matched funding is a great way to reach or sometimes double your target!

Is there a Strava Club?

Yes you can join others taking on the challenge in the Strava Club here.

Challenge Month

What are the dates of the challenge?

Complete your 300 Miles between the 1st and 30th June. 

Where does the challenge take place?

This is your challenge, your way. This is a virtual challenge which you undertake by yourself or with friends and cycle in your local area. 

Can I change the dates of the challenge?

Yes absolutely, you can amend the dates as you need.

Can I amend the distance of the challenge?

Absolutely, this is your challenge, your way. You can reduce or increase the miles - every mile makes a difference. 

How do I keep track of how many miles I've done?

You will recieve a paper tracker in your fundraising page, which you can pop on your fridge and use to tick off your miles. 

You can also link fitness apps like Strava to your fundraising page.  

How do I connect fitness apps like Strava to my fundraising page?

You can easily track your miles and share your progress with friends and family by connecting your Fitbit or Strava app to your page.

Go to My Fitness Activity, selected your prefered app and follow the instructions to connect your account. Your fundraising page will then automatically update with your distance, showing the miles you've completed?  

What happens if I can't complete the challenge?

We are here with you every mile of the way.  We have a support team to provide you with advice and tips on completing the challenge and reaching your fundraising target.  

If you can't complete your challenge, please don't worry we understand life gets in the way sometimes.  Just let us and your sponsors know.
