I'm taking on the Run 50 Miles in October Challenge

Did you know that 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime?

I’m taking on the Run 50 Miles in October Challenge for Prostate Cancer Research to change this and help make a difference to men and their families who have been affected by prostate cancer.

Please support me during this challenge by donating what you can to Prostate Cancer Research. Every donation you make helps advance our mission to create a world free from the impact of prostate cancer.

Thank you for your support! 💙🧡

October 50 mile run!

Wednesday 30th Sep
50 Miles for Prostate Cancer Research

This October, I’m taking on a challenge that’s going to push me well outside my comfort zone — running 50 miles throughout October to raise money for prostate cancer research.

That’s over 80 kilometres of running in just one month.

I’m doing this to help raise awareness and, most importantly, to support the vital research that can improve the lives of men affected by prostate cancer and their families.

Why prostate cancer?

Prostate cancer affects a huge number of men, yet it’s a subject that isn’t always talked about enough. Research is essential for improving early detection, developing better treatments and ultimately helping more men live longer, healthier lives.

I wanted to do something practical to help, so I decided to challenge myself and put some miles in.

The challenge

My goal is simple:

50 miles. 31 days. One cause.

There will no doubt be days when getting out for a run is the last thing I feel like doing. There will be tired legs, bad weather, busy days and plenty of moments when I question why I signed myself up for this!

But every mile will have a purpose.

Whether it’s an easy few kilometres after work or a longer weekend run, I’ll be reminding myself that each mile is helping contribute towards something much bigger than my own personal challenge.

Help me reach the goal

If you’re able to support me, I’d really appreciate a donation — no matter how small. Every contribution will help support prostate cancer research and the work being done to improve the future for men affected by this disease.

And if you can’t donate, sharing my challenge or simply following along and giving me some encouragement would mean a lot too.

So, here we go…

50 miles in October.

Wish me luck — I’m going to need it! 🏃‍♂️💙

Thank you for your support.
