Warrens 50 Miles

This October, I’m taking on a challenge that is going to test me both physically and mentally — I’m running 50 miles throughout October to raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK.

I’ve chosen to support Prostate Cancer UK because prostate cancer is something that affects far too many men and their families, yet it’s still a subject that many men find difficult to talk about.

For me, this challenge is about much more than running 50 miles. It’s about encouraging men to know their risk, recognise the signs and speak to their doctor if something doesn’t feel right.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK, and thousands of men are diagnosed every year. The earlier prostate cancer is found, the more likely it is that treatment can be successful. That’s why awareness and talking openly about men’s health really matters.

So, throughout October, I’ll be getting out there and clocking up the miles — whatever the weather, whatever the day, and even on the days when I’d probably rather put my feet up!

I’m hoping that my 50-mile challenge will not only raise some much-needed money for Prostate Cancer UK, but also get more men talking about their health and encourage them not to ignore something simply because it feels uncomfortable to discuss.

If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, I would be incredibly grateful. Every donation will help Prostate Cancer UK continue its vital work supporting men, funding research and helping to improve the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.

And if this challenge encourages even one man to have that conversation with his GP, then the 50 miles will be more than worth it.

Thank you for supporting me and Prostate Cancer UK. Here’s to 50 miles for an incredibly important cause. 🏃‍♂️💙
