I'm taking on the Run 50 Miles in October Challenge

Did you know that 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime?

This year, that statistic became very personal to us when my husband, David, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in October 2025. He underwent radiotherapy treatment in April and, thankfully, everything so far suggests that his treatment has gone well. 💙

Seeing someone you love go through a cancer diagnosis makes you realise just how important research, early diagnosis and better treatments really are. So this October, I’m taking on the challenge of running 50 miles to raise money for Prostate Cancer Research — for David, and for all the other men and families affected by this disease.

If you’re able to sponsor me, no matter how small the amount, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every donation will help fund research towards better diagnosis, treatments and, ultimately, a world where prostate cancer no longer has such an impact on men and their families.

Finished!! My October 50 miles running challenge for Prostate Cancer Research is officially complete! 

Thank you to everyone for raising an awesome £408!🎊

This cause means a lot to me as I have friends and family that have fought this disease, one of which lost their life. 🧡

So I want to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone that has supported me and helped raise money for this fantastic charity.

And what better way to finish than with a new 5K personal best at Temple Newsam parkrun this morning – 24:44! I couldn't have asked for a better ending!
