I'm taking on the Run 50 Miles in October Challenge

Did you know that 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime?

I’m taking on the Run 50 Miles in October Challenge for Prostate Cancer Research to change this and help make a difference to men and their families who have been affected by prostate cancer.

Please support me during this challenge by donating what you can to Prostate Cancer Research. Every donation you make helps advance our mission to create a world free from the impact of prostate cancer.

Thank you for your support! 💙🧡

My Updates

I'm back!!

Thursday 22nd Oct
Had a bit of an involuntary break as I've been feeling a bit rough recently. Behind schedule now but managed a nice pre-dawn 5 miles. Really got to hit the miles to reach my target but I'm sure it's doable!!

Run 6

Thursday 15th Oct
Another pleasant 4 miles along side the Severn. Mild morning today

5 miles!!

Monday 12th Oct
First run for a couple of days after lazy weekend!! Managed 5 miles with no problem, easily the furthest I've run for quite a few years so really pleased!! Cool, drizzly day and pleasant, flat route alongside the Severn.

5th run - 4 miles

Friday 9th Oct
My longest run yet 4 miles, and by far the nicest route, but some killer hills 😂 Not bad for an old boy who's not run for ages!!

Run 4!!

Wednesday 7th Oct
Dark, cold, wet & windy to start with but another 3 miles done towards my target! 11 miles out of 50!!

Third Run!!

Monday 5th Oct
Another beautiful day today and another 3 miles done!! Still hard going but much flatter route, through woods alongside the River Severn. VERY pleased with progress so far!!

Second Run!

Saturday 3rd Oct
Second run done, beautiful day and lovely location so did 3 miles. Bit hilly in places so still very slow plod but much more enjoyable than the first run!!

I've started!!

Thursday 1st Oct

I've started!!

Thursday 1st Oct
Well that's the first one done!! Very slow 2 miles and hard work but got it out the way. Didn't plan a decent route beforehand so just plodding round the streets, lesson learnt!!
