Brighton Marathon running for prostate cancer charity
My name is Leon Adams, and I am running to raise awareness and support for people affected by prostate cancer. This cause is important to me because I want to help spread awareness of a disease that has impacted so many individuals and families.
Cancer has also affected my own family, as I sadly lost a family member to a different type of cancer. Although it wasn't prostate cancer, that experience showed me how devastating cancer can be and inspired me to do something positive to help others.
At 18 years old, I believe this challenge will be a meaningful way to make a difference. By running every day and pushing myself as much as I can, I hope to encourage conversations about prostate cancer, promote the importance of early detection, and help raise awareness for everyone affected by this disease.
Every mile I run represents my commitment to this cause, and I hope my efforts will inspire others to support it too.
That approach is honest, avoids overstating the connection, and still explains why the cause matters to you.
