Day 3 Complete: Consistency is King
Saturday 3rd OctThree days in and the challenge is going well. I've now completed a 5km run every day since starting my 50 Miles for Prostate Cancer Research challenge.
That means 15km (9.3 miles) is now in the bank, leaving 40.7 miles still to run. While there's still a long way to go, I'm pleased to have built momentum early and kept the daily streak alive.
The aim isn't to break any records. It's simply to put one foot in front of the other each day while raising awareness and support for the vital work carried out by Prostate Cancer Research.
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared the fundraiser, or sent words of encouragement. Your support genuinely helps on the days when motivation is a little harder to find.
Progress so far:
- Day 1: 5km ✅
- Day 2: 5km ✅
- Day 3: 5km ✅
- Total: 15km / 9.3 miles
- Challenge completed: 18.6%
On to Day 4 and the next 5km. 🏃♂️💙

Why I Thought Running in October Was a Good Idea...
Tuesday 22nd Sep
October in the UK can be a bit unpredictable. If we've still got the kind of weather we've enjoyed recently, it should be a really pleasant run with cool temperatures and some autumn sunshine. However, knowing my luck, it'll probably be cold, wet, windy, and involve plenty of muddy puddles!
Whatever the weather throws at me, I'll be pulling on my running shoes and getting it done. Every mile will be helping to support a cause that's important to me, so a bit of rain (or a lot of rain) feels like a small price to pay.
If you'd like to support me, any donation would be hugely appreciated. Thank you to everyone who has already donated and offered encouragement. I'll be sure to share an update once I've crossed the finish line, hopefully without being blown into the next county!
