Run 10 - 2.25 miles
Thursday 22nd Oct Little milestone for me there. 10 runs in one month is so much more than I imaged coming in to this. Shorter run today, I'm still feeling leggy. Where was the light rain when I needed it Share
Run 9 - 3.68 miles
Tuesday 20th Oct Bit disappointed with that one. Felt quicker than it was and felt like I put full effort into it. I definitely prefer running in the rain, helps keep me cooled down. Little bit anxious of the challenge ahead to make the 50 miles but I'll keep pushing until the end. Share
Run 8 - 5.14 miles
Sunday 18th Oct Biggest one yet this month. Felt like turning off early a few times tonight but carried on through it. Glad I did! Still a long way to go for the 50 miles but slowly getting there. Need a big push for the next 2 weeks to do it. But I'm still proud of myself so far. No idea why I had a cap on. Share
Run 7 - 3.39 miles
Thursday 15th Oct That was a killer. Why does a monsoon always appear when I go out! First time I've not run from home and back. Big bowl of scouse waiting for me in the in laws. Earned it! Share
Run 6 - 3.98 miles
Tuesday 13th Oct Missed 2 planned runs over the past few days, legs couldn't take it. Slowed it right down and managed to knock a 6k out without stopping. Proud of that one but legs are still not happy. I thought they'd be more used to it by now. That rain as well! I felt like I'd just escaped Shawshank Share
Run 5 - 2.5 miles
Thursday 8th Oct Wet and windy one that! Those pesky shin splints are back (no proof of shin splints, only pain). Legs feel broken. Why do I think I can do these things? Another 2.5 miles in the bank though. Think that was faster than my last one too Share
Run 4 - 2.5 miles
Tuesday 6th Oct Wow! No idea what shin splints feel like but I'm claiming I've got them.. Pushed myself to 2.5 miles today, felt really good until towards the end. Couple of uphill stretches to finish me off. Share
Run 3 - 1.5 miles
Sunday 4th Oct Back on my own today. Legs are struggling with the change in activity levels. Decided to stick to a smaller distance today and I have a rest day planned for tomorrow. Other than my legs, I'm feeling good. 5 miles down now so 10% there, plenty of runs left to go yet so don't want to push myself too hard at this stage. Share
Run 2 - 2 miles
Sunday 4th Oct I had my brother along for the run, was good to have company and it helped push me an extra 1/2 mile than planned. Felt it towards the end but the early stages felt comfortable. Share
Run 1 - 1.46 miles
Thursday 1st Oct Starting small to get into the hang of it. Felt ok, legs seemed to cope better as the run went on. Getting that first one in the bag was a big thing for me. Onto the next one in 2 days time! ShareThank you to my Sponsors
