About me and the reason
Tuesday 29th SepLate 2021/22 both my dad and my father-in-law were diagnosed with prostate cancer, just weeks apart. Having two people so close to us receive the same diagnosis in such a short space of time was something we never expected.
Thankfully, my dad’s PSA levels have remained stable, and his cancer is still contained. My father-in-law’s situation was different, as his cancer was not contained, and he had to undergo an operation to remove his prostate.
Although their diagnoses were three years ago, it’s something that has stayed with me and my family. It’s one of the reasons I’ve decided to take on this challenge and do my bit to support prostate cancer research.
With having two of my own gorgeous babies I want to be around for a long time so here is to this challenge and many more.
