I'm taking on the Run 50 Miles in October Challenge

Did you know that 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime?

I’m taking on the Run 50 Miles in October Challenge for Prostate Cancer Research to change this and help make a difference to men and their families who have been affected by prostate cancer.

Please support me during this challenge by donating what you can to Prostate Cancer Research. Every donation you make helps advance our mission to create a world free from the impact of prostate cancer.

Thank you for your support! 💙🧡

POWERING THROUGH

Tuesday 20th Oct

In the fight against prostate cancer. Every mile is a step towards raising awareness, supporting those affected, and helping make a difference.

It hasn’t all been plain sailing, though. I’ve been battling tenderness around my MCL (medial collateral ligament), which has made the challenge a little tougher than expected. There have been some uncomfortable moments, and my body has definitely reminded me that this isn’t going to be easy!

But I’m determined to keep pushing forward, stay positive, and give this challenge everything I can. 💙

This challenge is about more than just miles. It’s about raising awareness of prostate cancer, supporting the men and families affected by it, and encouraging more people to take their health seriously. Too many men are impacted by this disease, and every bit of awareness and support counts.

So, I’m halfway there! 🏃‍♂️

Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far, whether through donations, sharing my challenge, or simply offering words of encouragement. It genuinely means a lot.

I’ll keep doing my best to reach that 50-mile target, while listening to my body and taking care of this knee along the way.

Let’s finish what we started and keep spreading the word about prostate cancer! 💙

If you can, please share this post, help raise awareness, or consider donating to support the cause.

Every mile matters. Every donation counts. Every conversation could make a difference.

🏃‍♂️ 50 Miles in October — Here We Go! 🏃‍♂️

Monday 28th Sep

October is almost here, which means my 50 Miles in October challenge is about to begin! 💪
I’ve already got two preparation runs under my belt, getting the legs moving and starting to build up the miles before the challenge officially kicks off.
Two runs done, and now it’s time to take on the full 50 miles throughout October. It’s going to take consistency, determination and probably a few tired legs along the way! 😅
🎯 Goal: 50 miles in October
🏃 Preparation runs: 2 completed
🔥 Challenge: Ready to begin!
Here’s to getting the miles in, staying motivated and hopefully raising some money/awareness along the way. Let’s do this! 🙌

Getting Ready

Friday 18th Sep
Getting Ready to Take on the Challenge
October is getting closer, and the reality of what I’m about to take on is starting to sink in!
I’ve been working towards my fundraiser challenge for a while now, the preparation is really stepping up. There’s a mixture of excitement, nerves and plenty of determination as I get myself ready to take on something that will push me both physically and mentally.
Taking on a challenge like this isn’t just about the running itself. There’s been a lot of preparation behind the scenes — getting my fitness up, staying focused, putting in the training and making sure I’m as prepared as I can possibly be. There are definitely days when motivation is harder to find, but remembering why I’m doing this makes it all worthwhile.
The biggest motivation throughout all of this is the fundraising. Knowing that every mile, every training session and every moment when I’m pushing myself is helping raise money for a cause that means so much makes the challenge even more important to me.
As October approaches, I’m going to be putting everything I can into my preparation. There will no doubt be tough days along the way, but I’m determined to keep going, keep improving and arrive at the challenge ready to give it everything I’ve got.
I’m really looking forward to sharing the journey with everyone — the training, the highs, the lows and, eventually, the run itself.
For now, it’s time to keep training, keep believing and get ready to take on the challenge!
October, I’m coming for you. 💪
If you’ve supported my fundraiser already, thank you so much. Every donation, share and message of encouragement genuinely makes a difference and helps keep me motivated.
If you’d like to support me, I’d be incredibly grateful. ❤️
