My reason for taking part

Tuesday 15th Sep
I'm a sedentary being, a bookworm, a couch potato. A candle burning and a fluffy blanket is my idea of heaven! Pair that with arthritis and sciatica and exercise of any kind becomes torturous. 

I decided to join this challenge because the cause is so important. Prostate cancer kills men at an alarming rate, sometimes before they reach the age of NHS screening. This needs to change. Men deserve better. 

I'm running for the amazing men in my life, the men this disease has taken, and every man living with prostate cancer. 

I have no doubt that this challenge will hurt me physically, mentally and emotionally, but one thing I am not is a quitter. I signed up for 50 miles in October, and that's what I'll give.
